What are the best YA books?
When I was a teen, I read pretty much everything in my high school’s library. And I enjoyed most of it. I never really got into the vampire or zombie thing though.
Nowadays, I don’t read very much YA at all, but I am interested to know what the stuff I should read is! I know I need to read some Rainbow Rowell. I also know I was not crazy about We Were Liars, but I did enjoy another of her books, probably because there wasn’t the same hyped up expectation.
So, I want you all to tell me what YA titles, series or even authors I should check out.

I’d say it depends on what genre you want. So no zombies or vampires. Does that mean all paranormal/supernatural is out? And I guess post-apocalyptic. What about dystopian? If you’re a fan of historical fiction I’d suggest Code Name Verity and Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein. For contemporary, The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay, Slammed and/or Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. Those are just a few suggestions to start. Easy by Tammara Webber. And Delirium by Lauren Oliver if you’re interested in dystopian.

Thank you! I do enjoy dystopian, but fantasy is not so much my thing. I am looking forward to checking these out.
