Books off my shelf (I hope to read this summer!)

I have a pile of review requests that will keep me busy through the summer and into the fall.

I also have an Audio Book membership that allows me to listen to at least two books per month.

And then there are all those film adaptations with imminent release dates…

And all those other books that I have put into my schedule already…

Oh boy, it’s lookin’ like it’s going to be a crazy summer!

But what about all those books just sitting on my bookshelf? You know, the ones made of paper? That I bought, to read?

My Summer TBR Pile. Brought to mind courtesy of The Broke and the Bookish.

Here are ten of them that are just sitting there, waiting patiently for me to pay them some mind.

There are many more, but we won’t go there.

How many will I get to? Time will soon tell.

Summer TBR Pile

  1. The Secret History by Donna Tartt
  2. Away by Amy Bloom
  3. Labor Day by Joyce Maynard
  4. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
  5. The Icarus Girl by Helen Oyeyemi
  6. Beloved by Toni Morrison
  7. Delirium by Lauren Oliver
  8. Oh Dear Sylvia by Dawn French
  9. The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion
  10. The Opposite House by Helen Oyeyemi

I am looking forward to each and every one of books pictured.

Have you read any of these yet? Did you enjoy them?

  1. I’ve just gotten the audiobook of Code Name Verity, not sure how it’ll go but I’m definitely excited for my very first WW2 fiction! Have a great summer reading =)

  2. Great stack of books to read! The only book I read from your list was The Rosie Project, which was fantastic and the perfect summer read 🙂 Oh, wait, I also read Delirium a few years ago; the premise of the story was quite intriguing and chilling. I also do want to read Labour Day and The Secret History at some point.

    Happy reading! My TTT

  3. I’ve been meaning to read Code Name Verity; I’ll be looking forward to your review. I’ve read Rosie Project and loved it. I don’t think anyone who has read it didn’t love it. Enjoy!!

  4. I liked Beloved, but my all-time favourite Toni Morrison is Song of Solomon. Loved The Secret History too. Great list, enjoy!
