Armchair BEA Wrap Up

When I started this blog, I decided to do it on a bit of a whim. It was a completely conscious decision to not plan everything out in advance. I did not come up with any kind of schedule or S.M.A.R.T. goals. I had a lot of ideas, vague goals and some ideal directions, but it wasn’t until I started posting that I really solidified any particular path.

One of the things that I did not see coming when I took on this project is the way this community of bloggers, authors, and even publishers come together regularly online. Book Musings has opened up a whole world to me I did not even realize existed before 10 weeks ago.

Armchair BEA (or the BEA for that matter)  is one of those events that I had never heard a word about, but I am sure glad that I stumbled across it. I don’t even remember where I saw the announcement. I am however, glad I checked it out.

In my ABEA Introduction earlier this week, I mentioned that I did not have a lot of go to book bloggers on my radar. I am happy to say that because of the way the week was structured, coupled with the time that I invested in visiting the links posted, I have discovered a abundance of new (to me) book blogs and authors who I am excited to continue to follow, get to know and develop relationships with.

Here are some of my favourite discoveries this week!

Book.Blog.Bake

Chapter Break

Courtney Reads A Lot

Doing Dewey

Flirting With Fiction

Fiction Freak

Just Another Rabid Reader

Lavish Bookshelf

My Shelf Confessions

Read, Write, Discuss

Readerbuzz

Roof Beam Reader

Tea in the Treetops

The Steadfast Reader

(un)Conventional Book Views

I discovered many, many more that I am excited about too!

Thanks to the Armchair BEA 2014 team, and all of you took the time to post on your own blog or on my blog during this week.

See you next year, unless by some miracle I get to go to NYC!
